Sure. Talking about life makes me sound disastrously nerdy. Which is probably true. But I've really come to be curious about this age old question. What is the meaning of life? Are we really the result of an infinitesmally unlikely combining of atoms? Did our planet really come from a cataclysmic collision of extravagant proportions, and with such luck that the exact combination of rock, ice and whatnot allowed life to 'begin'? Or are we just toys to an almighty 'being'? Or do we serve some purpose yet unknown, that we may complete some grand task assigned to our tiny planet?

Life is the most complex creation in the universe. Period. Trillions upon trillions of DNA strands make up every living organism we know of, giving them the ability to do.. something. We are an example of this 'something'. We created language out of nothing, we learn, acquire knowledge, and we have emotions, feelings, moods. Why? How? What is the reason for us to cry over death, fall in love, laugh at a joke? Sure, you could explain it scientifically. An increase in dopamine causes pleasure, an increase in adrenaline causes stress, an increase in testosterone causes douche-bags who think too much of themselves. But none of these give a clear explanation on why.  Of course, love is essential to continue the human race, but why do we need to? Are we just going to continue existing on this planet until all natural resources are harvested, then move on to the next with our constantly evolving technology? Or have we reached the peak of technology, and eventually die out due to the collapse of the sun, or overpopulation, or any 2012 prediction?

Is there a purpose to this petty existence? We're born. We learn. We grow. We fall in love. We make money. We ourselves have children.  We get old. We retire. We die. If you're good enough, you might 'make history' somewhere in that list. It's the same routine, over and over, all around the world. We may be having a better 'life' than people 1000 years ago, but it's the same gist. All of it. If life were a game wouldn't the players be bored by now? Then why are we still here? Again, what is the purpose of life?

You know what? Screw this. I'm going nihilist.

Hiya Everybody

It's been a while.. anyway since school's started, and we all have English IOP, WL, Psych IA's, and various exams to study for, I decided it'd be the perfect time to do a new blog post.. =D

Life's been alright and such.. My days have been greatly enhanced by the wondrous exploration of a little site called Cracked. The fact that I ever came across this site is mostly thanks to someone named Vivien.. :D

Anywho, as mentioned before, schools busy and whatnot, so I won't keep you guys.. Nothing interesting has happened in my life recently..well, other than my mum brandishing a hammer on me in a fit of Asian rage. But that's acceptable.. I mean, it's just typical Asian family bonding and love.

Well, off I go.. Peace Out XD
~~~Sorry guys, but I can't be bothered to put up a pic and such.. so enjoy the blank space beneath while you can...;P~~~
Hi Everyone!~
Sorry for not posting in a while.. I guess...
Anyway, instead of having a massive image spam on this site, draining your internetz, I decided to upload my photos to Facebook instead, so that.. you can drain your internetz there..
Heres the link: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=151155&id=620296929&l=94eed4b962
Anyway, wow my font just changed for some reason.. anyway, since schools starting tomorrow, I guess I'll get this outta the way. I shall post up a quick itinerary of where we went.. so bear with me XD
Soo.. we started out in Launceston for a couple of nights.. you know, going here and there, seeing The Gorge, and a few parks and whatnot. Caught up with some friends, and yea...
Anyway, after that we set out east across down the coast through to Bicheno, where along the way we saw some waterfalls, rainforests, and Priscilla, the beer drinking pig. Yes, the beer drinking pig. We did have to wake her up, and I assumed it took so long cause she had a huge hangover, but we convinced her to have a few brewskies, and photo opportunities were made. In Bicheno, we had dinner at an awesome French restaurant called Cyrano. Remember that name next time you go down to Bicheno, cause you know, it's such a popular tourist attraction XD
We also saw this giant blowhole in the cliff,where the waves came spewing out in amazing bursts. much like certain other blowholes.. ;P best left to the imagination. Anyhow, we then drove down south to Port Arthur, where we saw all these convist built places and whatnot...
Finally, went back up to Hobart, and.. yea. Didn't do too much in Hobart, not that much of an interesting place...
Anywho.. I should rest up for school tomorrow.. S:
Cya laterz
Today, my mum gave me a surprise... we were repainting the entire house! Oh joy.. and the timing couldn't have been more perfected.. just as I began to think about starting my WL... garrgh, now I regret my procrastination.. At least i found good use of my safety goggles for the holidays.. ;P
Sigh, i wish I had thoughts to pour into this blog, but my brain seems to be completely empty... Oh well, you readers are stuck with an animated recount of my boring day. ;D
Greetings fellow earthlings,
Happy New Year!!! The coming of 2010 brings us a new year, a new decade, and for some of us, a new resolution. Not me of course, what, do you expect me to follow some sort of regime for an entire year? Not a chance. ;P
Anywho, I find work is extremely depressing... not giving me any kind of newfound respect for life, nor showing me that money can't be taken for granted.. work just gives me BO and a bad appetite. While going home, I also found that I've developed an uncanny fear of cars running over the back of my feet when i cross the road.. ;P
My blog shall be on hiatus for a week or so starting from next Saturday, when i go down to Tasmania!! I know all you avid readers must be devastated.. XD Although really, I'm only 'disappointing' Andrew and Jiadai, and that's only because they have no constructive purpose in their daily lives.. ;D Of course, I'm just joking, although to a certain extent I'm not, you may choose where that extent lies.
Anyway, I shall be off, and as per usual i leave you with a pic, quote and fact of the day. And again, Happy new year!!!!!!
For all you Twilight Fans
Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.
Research indicates that mosquitoes are attracted to people who have recently eaten bananas.
So to stop those pesky mosquitoes, STOP EATING BANANAS!!!
Hi everyone,
Tomorrow will be the final day of this year, and of the first decade within the 21st century.
From my research over the World Wide Net or WWN... this decade has several unofficial names including the Oh's, the two-thousands, and the noughties... o_O
Anyway, this decade brought us many new intriguing technologies, including of course, the widely used In-ter-net, although I've never heard of such a crudely named mechanism. For me though, even though I spent only 6 years of my life in the years preceding the 'noughties',  I believe the most important development within the world was that of video gaming XD. Even though people still enjoy classics such as Pac-man and Tetris, the creation of time-guzzling, high definition, seizure-inducing, graphically realistic 'games' such as the Call of Duty series, or the GTA series, allowed introverted sociopaths such as myself experience reality without leaving the comfort of the couch, and occasionally, even the bed :P.
However, the 2000's razzle-dazzle technologies weren't enough to cover up many downfalls within the community. We saw the downfall of the superpower USA when somehow George Bush was elected as president over Al Gore. Natural disasters ravaged the land including 40 degree heat waves in Europe, earthquakes and tsunamis in the Asian-Pacific, hurricanes and tornadoes in the Americas, and of course, Swine flu, originating the Mexico and spreading throughout the world. (However, in my opinion, the danger of Swine-flu was greatly exaggerated by the WHO). War and terrorism was also  evident throughout the world, including the war on terror provoked by the 9/11 attack, the Bali bombings, and the recent attacks in Mumbai. Recently, we also saw one of the largest gathering of political leaders in a convention in Copenhagen to find a plan to prevent further carbon emission and climate change. As expected, chucking a whole bunch of politicians together with no supervision, and they'll never reach an agreement.
The economy ultimately came crashing down with the global financial crisis, which I believe to be God's punishment of the Americans for electing Mr Bush. This is further seen to be true since their economy has slowly risen again now that Mr Obama is in office. :) On a lighter note, this decade saw some of the highest grossing films in history, including the Lord of the Rings, the Dark Knight, and the Pirates of the Carribean all grossing over $1 billion. Ever single Harry Potter movie in the franchise also grossed over $750 million each. And unfortunately, the people collectively threw away over $650 million to sit through the torturous, New Moon... D:
We also saw some major events in sport, including the 06 FIFA world cup, where Australia lost at the whim of a biased referee, and the 2008 olympics in BEIJING!!! Azn Pride ;D Books were also popular in the 21st century.. as always, and we saw many popular and controversial titles, including the Harry Potter series, Dan Brown's Da Vinci Code, and *cough* Twilight.
And so.. to this decade I say, so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, good night, and to the decades to come, I look forward to flying cars, robot servants, and virtual virtual reality. As per usual, I shall leave you with a pic, quote and fact of the day, and especially, of the decade.. :P
